  • Christian Life Education and Values Education

    The Christian Life Education aims at guiding the students towards a more integrated development of his/her personality as God’s image by helping the students discover and know the basic Christian principles of love of God, self and neighbor, bringing him/her to realization of his/her duties to live by those Christian principles with Christian conviction, allowing him/her to experience in the light of faith, hope and love by daily experience of Christ’s living presence in and around him/her, leading him/her to a more conscious and constant realization that the fullness of his/her personality can only be achieved as he/she opens and shares with other in the community.

    Values Education integrated in CLE aims to mold the awareness and understanding of the students, of themselves, and others which will form them to develop a wholesome personality and positive outlook in life. Furthermore, it aims at teaching and instilling values towards helping Filipino youth in relating to oneself, others, country and God.

  • English

    The Program includes a wide-range of instruction for the total development of the student. It aims to present communication as integral part of real life, so that skills derived from more meaningful contents and structures easily become part of the learners’ reading, speaking, writing and learning habits.

    At the end of the year, the students are expected to understand and demonstrate the skills of basic communication arts of listening, speaking, reading and writing on their suitable age, interest and experiences, to appreciate the significance of communication in human relationships and life situations of the cultural and literary heritage of man, and to recognize and apply worthwhile habits, attitudes and interests from their language and reading experiences.

  • Mathematics

    The Mathematics program is designed to provide the Canossian students with basic concepts of algebra, geometry, statistics and trigonometry, and reinforce understanding of these concepts through their application, integration and development in computational and problem solving skills needed in real life situations. Positive attitude to the subject is cultivated through related activities and games to make Math more pleasurable. Students’ creativity in problem solving is likewise developed. The learning content is so sequenced that lessons are gradually geared towards abstract reasoning, logical and analytical thinking to help students make fair decisions and choose from several alternatives. Likewise, values of accuracy, precision, patience and acceptance of their limitations, would in the final analysis, be their basis for confronting the problems they will face in their family and community as maturing human person as Filipino Catholic Christian.

  • Science and Technology

    The Science and Technology program aims to intensify the development of scientific skills and to treat science as a tool toward the formulation of conclusions through the different purposes. The students are also expected to perceive the usefulness and significance of science in real life and show awareness of God’s transformed love. They will likewise be provided opportunities to understand a logical and integrated picture of science theories models and generalization that portray the unity of different concepts and principles.

  • Araling Panlipunan / MAKABAYAN / Sibika / HKS

    Ang Araling Panlipunan – Heograpiya, Kasaysayan, Sibika bilang asignaturang may madiing pagpapahalaga sa tao at sa lipunang ginagalawan niya, ay may layunin na ang mga mag-aaral ay mapaunlad ang kaalaman, kasanayan, saloobin at pakikilahok sa lipunan na may makataong pagpapahalaga. Kaya nga’t sa asignaturang ito, hinahasa ang mga mag-aaral sa mga gawaing pampangkatan at sa mga gawaing panlipunan bilang paghahanda sa kanila sa paggamit ng mga kaalamang ito sa wastong pamammaraan. Kaugnay nito, ang mga mag-aaral ay iminumulat ang isipan at kaalaman sa mg kulturang Filipino at sa tamang pagpapahalaga sa tao.

  • Filipino

    Ang pangunahing layunin sa pagtuturo ng Sining ng Komunikasyon sa Filipino ay mapalawak ang kaalaman, kasanayan, paghanga at pagpapahalaga sa wikang pambansa at kulturang Pilipino. Sa pamamagitan ng Wika’t Panitikan ay pinaghuhusay ang mga kasanayang dapat malinang sa mag-aaral upang maging mabisa at makahulugan ang kanilang malayang pagpapahayag ng mga kaisipan, saloobin at kuru-kuro sa paraang pasulat at pasalita. Sinasanay ang mga mag-aaral sa mabuting pakikinig, pakikipagtalastasang pasulat at pasalita at lalo na sa mga kasanayan sa malawakang pagbasa at pagsaliksik.

    Ang asignaturang Sining ng Komunikasyon Filipino ay naglalayong makatulong sa pagpapatupad ng mga layuning maka-Pilipino, maka-Kristiyano na nagpapahalaga sa pagsasabuhay ng mga kaalamang natutunan sa pamilya at paaralan.

  • Physical Education

    Physical Education is an integral part of education which aims to develop the individual physically, mentally, socially, emotionally and spiritually. The course activities include developing students’ own set of exercises suited for their health, executing gymnastic exercise, acquiring knowledge of game techniques and strategies both for the individual and group sports. The program, likewise emphasizes demonstrating students’ appreciation of different cultures primarily of the Philippine culture and traditions. Various PE activities enable students to learn and acquire participatory skills, develop teamwork, sportsmanship, leadership, creativity, honesty, patience, discipline and coordination.

  • Health Education

    Health Education lessons are designed to develop among students the importance and awareness of being healthy, as one of the aspects in developing productive citizens. Discussion of concepts and varied activities like role playing, case analysis, and project making will help the students cope with the changing standard of education in the changing world particularly in the moral standard both of the teacher and the learners. Topics include the different ways in testing the health status of a person, drug education, sex education, responsible parenthood/family planning and environmental health.

  • Music Education

    Music Education aims to develop fundamental and adequate foundation for the acquisition of essential skills and appreciation for music. It is taught as an act and means of self-expression, a socializing agent and a necessary tool for growth not only of our own culture but also of other countries. It discusses the fundamentals of music through singing, listening, moving, playing reading and creating which will allow for diversified activities of students. With these types of activities, life experiences are enriched through observation, exploration, discovery, cooperation and participation.

  • Technology and Home Economics / Edukasyong Pantahan at Pangkabuhayan

    The program is intended to provide classroom and laboratory experiences that will enable students to gain an understanding and acquisition of competencies in various economic activities which are related to major competent areas such as: home economics, agricultural arts, industrial arts, entrepreneurship, culinary arts, accounting and computer education. The curriculum also aims at the total development of the learner as a person and as a capable, productive and self-reliant worthy member of the home, community and nation with social and ecological responsibility.
